Text Box: What We Believe

The Scripture:
We believe that the Holy Bible was written by men inspired of the Holy Spirit. It has God for its author, salvation for its end, and truth, without any mixture of error, for its matter. All men will be judged by the Word of God. Jesus Christ is the fulfillment of the Scriptures.

GOD:
We believe that there is only one living and true GOD who is infinite in every natural and moral excellence and that He has revealed Himself to us as Father, Son and Holy Spirit. To Him we owe our love, reverence, and obedience.

Man:
We believe that man is created in the image of God. In the beginning man was sinless and given the freedom of choice. By his free choice man sinned against God and brought sin into the human race.

Salvation:
We believe that the only way of salvation is through the righteousness and blood of Jesus Christ our Lord, and is offered freely to all who accept Jesus Christ as Savior and Lord, who by His own blood obtained eternal redemption for the believer.

Eternal Security:
We believe that all true believers will, by the grace of God, persevere in His love and service, being "kept by the power of God through faith unto salvation."

The Church:
We believe the New Testament speaks of the church as the body of Christ which includes all the redeemed of all the ages. A New Testament church of the Lord Jesus is a local body of baptized believers who are associated by covenant in the faith and fellowship of the gospel.

The Family:
We believe God has ordained the family as the foundational institution of human society. It is composed of persons related to one another by marriage, blood, or adoption. Marriage is the uniting of one man and one woman in covenant commitment for a lifetime.

Church Ordinances:
We believe that in the church of Christ there are only two ordinances, Baptism and the Lord's Supper and that believers are the only proper subjects.

Baptism:
Christian baptism is the immersion of a believer in water in the name of the Father, Son and Holy Spirit. It is an act of obedience symbolizing the believer's faith in Jesus Christ

Lord's Supper:
The Lord's Supper is a symbolic act of obedience for the purpose of remembering the Lord's death and His anticipated second coming

Last Things:
God, in His own time and way will bring the world to its appointed end. According to His promise, Jesus Christ will return personally and visibly in glory to the earth; the dead will be raised; and Christ will judge all men in righteousness. The unrighteous will go to hell, the place of eternal punishment. The righteous in their resurrected and glorified bodies will receive their reward and will dwell forever in heaven with the Lord.
